Tundra Foundations is proud of the work we completed on the new Maternity and Community Health Centre in La Crete, Alberta. We mobilized in late March and completed our final concrete pour at the end of June, finishing the project slightly ahead of schedule.

This was our first project working with Bird Construction, and it was a great experience. Their team was professional, helpful, and a pleasure to work with throughout the project.

Working in northern Alberta also provided a pretty impressive reminder of how quickly conditions can change. When we started in March, we experienced overnight temperatures as low as -29°C. By June, we were working in temperatures reaching +29°C!

And then there was the daylight: In La Crete, we had roughly an extra hour of daylight compared with Edmonton. The north-facing windows on my suite would bring direct sunlight into the building in both the early morning and late evening!

A great project, a great team, and another opportunity for Tundra Foundations to contribute to an important facility serving the community of La Crete.
